So what is the best mattress firmness for you? There may not be universally agreed industry standards to define each mattress feel, but here’s a quick guide to help you determine which one may be best for your needs.

As a general rule:

• If you sleep on your back, a medium to firm mattress will provide the most comfortable support for your spine
• If you are a side sleeper, a medium mattress will provide the best support, with enough give to accommodate your hips
• If you sleep on your front, a firm mattress will be best for you.
